Point of Sale system

When I was investigating setting up a business a few years ago I started to write a Point of Sale program which would allow me to collect sufficient information about each sale. The system was not quite complete. Since I still have the hardware, and could use it for garage sales, etc. I need to rewrite it.

This was set up to do all the things a point of sale system does, such as calculate tax, note what was sold and take it out of inventory, etc. I was never as satisfied as I would like with the system.
